Vredendal Flying Club Fly In

Dusted off my trike and headed up to Vredendal for their annual fly in.

Getting out off Cape Town Saturday morning was a little interesting, loads of scattered clouds around with the odd bit of fog along the coast. So decided to give it a chance to burn off and only took off at around 10:00.

Routed from Fisantekraal to Piketberg and then was kindly accommodated by Langebaan ATC and headed towards the coast just south of Elandsbaai and for some low level flying up to Lamberts Bay, and landed fo… Continue

Flying the Grey

Never mind flying the blue, we have had two more days of extreme weather on our return trip back to South Africa. It reminds me of a saying that once you have climbed a mountain you are only half way there and boy does it feel like we have been climbing a mountain.

Under the Blue

Busy fun day today, up at sunrise for a flight around the Island but the weather did not play ball.

We did not let that bother us and we really lived this day to the Max. We got to scuba under the blue, did a shallow dive to about five meters below the blue or should I say in the blue an… Continue

Hi Mark,
I often get calls for your kind of dramatic aerial footage. Want to talk about how we can work together?

I'm not airborne just yet, this is only a picture of a completed Pterodactyl. I thought it would be nice to show people what it should end up looking like. This particular Ascender has a de-rated Cayuna 430. My Pterodactyl will be running on a Rotax 277.
