Hi Diego. You are right, we must to tell all new students, that flying is not game. We must to tell them what happened and why. If I have new very self confident student who says "flying is easy", I like climb with him to 500m AGL and give him control bar to his hands. Its youre, please fly... Cca 30 sec he fly right. next he go into turning - spiral. Speed is faster and faster and G-forse is enlarging. He has a panic. Then I tell him: flying is easy...
Before this crash we are flying with all quite good weather. With crosswind 5-6m/s!!! Combined with termic. There was no problem, because Im sitting behind the student and correcting flight if it need. In our country is instructor bulletin, that training you must make to max 3m/s crosswind. I had 2-3 students at the same time... I know a few instructors which teaching a good weather only. Then his students dont know termic and turbulent or windy weather. My instructor was this acess too. I have pilots licence about 6 years when I at first time (!) fly at very termic day... Because my instructor says: if is termic, that we cant flying! That I make my students ready to fly with all good weather. But after this crash Im carefuly. Next i have only one student and wind must be max 2-3m/s cross the runway. And I tell him: we are flying for enjoyment, not that we must. As you say, if you teaching on students trike, then a students accesses responsible to flying, learning, theory and practice. Its his property. Im going this way 4th years yet. I was constrained in this manner, because my training trike was destroyed in this time. I like teaching flying, because I seen changing students entrance. At first is only new student, next he is your flying friend. We are flying both, we are drinking both, we are going to holidays with our families... Then is very hard if hapened any bad...
Now Diego, I drinking for all our friends who are in the flying heaven!
Fly safe too. J.

Hi Diego. Im instructor too and after it happend I think that I ended teaching. Im allways mediated if this was not my mistake too. Do I everything right? Because this friend - names Jozef, was fly quite good. He has a flying feeling. He flew a few times with other instructors and other trikes. All instructors are tell me that Jozef is good pilot. Then I dont know what was happend in air that he freezes... My darling trike was total destroyed. Only engine (VW-1600) and 3 wheels are usable. Now I have trike what is qiute best of between 3-4 trikes of Slovakia. You are right, radio is perfect if student fly solo. But in our country lives quite poor people, then radio have only 1/3 pilots. We havent 2radios. Now I teaching flying on students 2 seats trike, no at my trike. I send you some photos:we are both - Im sitting on front seat, his first solo and my new trike.

Hi Diego. At first - Im sorry for my English :-) I just lern it now.
Yes, you are right, its hard to us, but other pilots must to teach from this mistakes, as you write.
my friend was my school boy and we are training before his final exam. He was flying very well - with me or solo. He has good flyin feeling. He flew on my trike - trike which flew all schooling. But he felt from small high. He make some mistakes. He take off and climbing. About 70-80m AGL he turning left and give out a little throttle. But he got strong turbulent wind bump. Then he "hardened" and havent any reaction. If he will be slip the control bar then my wing (very perfect) will by retreived this situation. Or if he was pull the control bar for accererate, then all would by OK. But my friend started correction too late. He will died immediately. Next calling with his wife was the most heavy at my life...
One year ago, a rescue team picked my broken body from a field, and flew it to a faraway hospital. There, the doctors put it all back together, quite well. Since then, many miracles have been observed as my brain and body are healing.
My eyesight has returned, walking and talking are possible.
My aircraft was destroyed, but my dream was reborn when I flew again 365 days after the crash. My wife and I hired two machines (along with the pilots) to circumnavigate the Island of Kauai, Hawaii.
All went well, perfect in fact. We shall fly again. And I will share more of the experience as time goes by. I fully agree with you.
Back in 2004 there was an UL Trike expedition around the world, I contacted them and they said they were gong to pass thru El Salvador, sadly in Belize one of them hade an accident and died. What I wanted to shear with you is the logo I created for there arrival.
