It was stupid of me to take off in this wind and on a Racer... Thank God it got smooth at about 500FT AGL and that I could land safely at the beach. I don't know what I was thinking :(

Hey! Does anybody have a copy of this rough take off video? It seems it has been removed by youtube for some rule violation (What was that about?)

Thanks! :-)

Thank you guys, like I said, I don't know what I was thinking, I think the important thing hire is to recognize the mistake and try not to do it again.

Hi Diego ( Die Go ) ???
The comment by the photographer certainly adds to the reality. The good thing however is that you are able to re look, re think and analize the situation. If you hadn't gone through this process you should be worried.
But for this reason, you, you are OK!
Half the fun of flying a trike is that it we are more often than other pilots challenged by such natural elements, but as we fly for fun, we don't have to fly. It's not that you have to get a paying passenger home before sunset. The burning desire to make the flight, espesially when there are others to please, may be our downfall, so we need to keep our wits about us. It's best to sometimes be the softy and chicken out so we can fly again another day.
I learn something new with every flight. But,as a friend once said, "Make mistakes, but when you make a mistake, make a new mistake, don't repeat the old ones!
Have a great day!
