I have just been asked to comment on footage that can be seen at www.weboonline.com/donald/ re soft sand landings and take-offs. See the tab - Fly-aways and fly-abouts. This video was filmed by a professional production company and copies were distributed to South Africa Microlighters by the South African Association ( see www.misasa.co.za) free of charge as a tribute to two pilots who lost there lives in aircraft accidents. Both had attended this annual fly-away and one of them was one of the founding organisers. The video is not available for sale. It offers dramatic footage and many sequences should not be undertaken without adequate justification and preparation. In preparation for the filming of this video a warning video was filmed concerning soft sand take-off and landing conditions. This warning to those that are seen in this video is referenced above.
